Everything you need to know about obtaining, renewing, and converting your driving license in Singapore
Register with an approved driving center (CDC, BBDC, or SSDC) or private instructor
Complete Basic Theory Test (BTT) and Final Theory Test (FTT) at the driving center
Complete mandatory practical lessons (minimum 20-25 sessions depending on school)
Pass the driving test conducted by Traffic Police at the driving center
Driving licenses can be renewed up to 1 year before expiry date. Late renewals may require retaking tests.
Holders of driving licenses from these countries may convert without tests:
Processing Time: 1-2 weeks. Fee: $50. Valid for 5 years.
